Bitter gourd has a bumpy, rough, and dark green exterior. Bitter gourd or Karela in Hindi has a rich source of antioxidants, flavonoids, and other polyphenol compounds which helps in building immunity, manages diabetes, eases digestion, cures constipation, and helps in weight loss. It is widely used in Indian cuisines where the bitterness is balanced with sweet, spicy or savory flavors. It is added in curries, stir-fries, broth, soups, and stews.
Wrap them in a paper towel or use a paper bag and store in the refrigerator.
